How it works
How GRC column cladding is fitted
- We measure the RCC column (height, size, plumb) on site or from drawings.
- The shaft is cast as two half-shells (or more for large diameters), with the base and capital as separate pieces.
- Shells are placed around the column, joined with stainless-steel fixings and grouted to the core.
- Joints are filled and finished so the column reads as one piece, then painted or sealed.
Because GRC is light, shells can usually be lifted by hand without cranes, which keeps installation quick and clean.

Are GRC columns load-bearing?
No. GRC columns are decorative cladding around a structural RCC or steel column. The structure carries the load; the GRC gives the shape and finish.
What sizes can you make?
Any height and diameter. Tall columns are made in stacked sections with hidden joints.
Can you match an existing column?
Yes. Send photos and measurements, or we can take a mould from an existing element.
