FRP jali

FRP jali: the lightest option for interiors and retrofits

FRP (fibre reinforced plastic, or fibreglass) jali is made from resin and glass fibre. It is much lighter than GRC, so it suits ceilings, partitions, and places where the structure cannot take extra load. For exterior elevations we usually recommend GRC instead; here is how to choose.

  • Very lightweight
  • Any pattern from a mould
  • Painted or metallic finishes

FAQ

FRP jali questions

What is FRP jali?

A decorative screen made of fibre reinforced plastic: polyester or epoxy resin reinforced with glass fibre, cast in a mould. It is thin, light and can be painted in any finish.

Is FRP jali good for exterior elevations?

It can be used outdoors with a UV-stable gelcoat or paint, but it will need repainting more often and it is combustible. For elevations we recommend GRC jali.

What is the price of FRP jali?

FRP jali is priced by pattern, size and finish. Metallic and high-gloss finishes cost more. Send us the design and area for a quote.

Is FRP the same as fibreglass?

Yes. FRP, GRP (glass reinforced plastic) and fibreglass all describe resin reinforced with glass fibre.
